The Come Discover Guide map is a publication targeted towards visitors and new residents in Lee County. The original map was created nearly a decade ago by a previous employee in my position. Originally, the map folded to an 8.5×11 form factor and had outdated verbiage on specific programs that no longer existed. During my time with Lee County Parks & Recreation, I completely rebuilt this map to serve its intended function better and maintain longer shelf life. I was able to creatively design a version of the Guide Map that decreased the folded form factor to a pocket-sized brochure and increased the size of the map image inside the document to improve readability. The brochure is separated into two distinct titles, “Places to go” and “Things to do,” reflecting the same organizational strategy we used on our website and other marketing material.
